(Hereonafter referred to as Refurb)
Purchases at Refurb
A final purchase agreement has only been made with Refurb once you have received an order confirmation from Refurb.
In case of delays, backorders or sold out items, we strive to inform you as soon as possible and inform you what we can do about it.
If a price is obviously incorrect and you within reason should have discovered this, we are not obligated to supply the product in question at the wrong price.
Reservations are made for sold-out goods and delayed delivery time by the salesteam at Refurb A / S. Further reservations are made for any errors in product information and images, because of automatic updates of the website may occur.
Your items will by default be delivered with the necessary accessories to be able to use the item.
All prices will by default be incl. 25% VAT and stated in Swedish Kroner, unless otherwise stated. In the event that you trade as a business, there will be products where there will be reverse VAT liability. In that case, this will appear on your invoice. The stated price at the time of ordering will in principle apply, unless there is a printing or price error.
In accordance with the law, Refurb stores information about you as a customer for five years, cf. the danish Accounting Act of 15 June 2006.
On this occasion, Refurb points out that computer hardware and software are particularly complicated products and that the products sold at Refurb are mainly produced abroad.
Purchase of machines with Windows 10
By default, a version of Windows 10 will be installed on a desktop or laptop purchased from Refurb, unless no operating system or OSX is selected during the purchase process.
For all machines pre-installed with software from the Windows 10 family, the following applies:
- If a product with a DirectX 9 class graphics processor (GPU) is purchased, the graphics processor will only support DirectX 9. Some games and applications may require DirectX 10 or higher for better performance and graphics. www.windows.com/upgrade can be checked for further details.
- Some Windows 10 Home and Pro features - such as Windows Ink, Windows Hello and Cortana etc. - require advanced hardware and therefore there may be machines where these features cannot be exploited.
- All products from the Windows 10 family, such as Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional, are automatically updated. This will always be switched on, and may incur fees from ISP providers depending on the method by which the machine is connected to the internet. Additional requirements to or for updating may be added over time.
- The built-in Cortana feature in Windows 10 is currently not available outside the following countries:
USA, UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, India, Italy, Germany, Japan and Spain.
- Any machine sold that is not equipped with an Intel Skylake or next-generation silicone-based chip, and that is equipped with a Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, either directly or in the form of a Windows 10 Professional version that is downgraded to Windows 7, or 8.1 Pro, has only limited support from Microsoft. - Any machine sold that is equipped with an Intel Skylake or next-generation silicone-based chip, and that is equipped with a Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 installation, either directly or in the form of a Windows 10 Professional version that is downgraded to Windows 7, or 8.1 Pro, has only limited support from Microsoft. Handling personal data
Along with your order, Refurb collects the information entered in the order flow - name, address, postal code, city, telephone number and e-mail address. This information is used only in regards of the handling of your order and is by default only stored for five years after your last purchase. Your information will then be deleted automatically.
If you choose to create a user, we save the information for your user profile, so that it makes the ordering process easier for you as a customer.
All data collection and communication between server and your browser are subject to an SSL encryption to ensure that all data sent between your device and Refurb's servers is encrypted.
In addition, we collaborate with a number of other companies that store and process data. The companies process information solely on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.
We only work with data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with adequate protection.
We NEVER store your payment information in its entirety with Refurb. All card data is handled by ePay, which is Refurb's payment gateway. Here, all payments and card information are handled according to the PCI standard.
The personal information is registered with Refurb.
Right of complaint
As a consumer, you have a two-year right of complaint in Sweden. This means that you can either have the item repaired, exchanged, the money back or a pricereduction, depending on the specific situation. In any case, this requires that the complaint is justified and with adequate information. If there is an additional right of complaint or guarantee, this will appear separately on the invoice.
As a starting point at Refurb, you will find that you always have a one-year full warranty. Contrary to the Purchase Act, this means that Refurb bears the burden of proof in the first year instead of just six months. Note that the right of complaint only covers defects that were present at the time of purchase.
Damage to the product, which is due to operating errors, handling errors, modifications or gross misuse by the user, is not covered by the right of complaint. This also includes changing the applied current to any relevant component.
The right of complaint does not cover defects in the product which are due to installed third party software. Always test whether the error may be due to programs, drivers, or anything else that was not originally installed on the product. Refurb tests all items by restoring the original configuration on them. If the test shows no flaws, it will trigger an invoicing for the hourly work. But a maximum of one hour, which means DKK 400 excl. VAT.
Refurb encourages the customer to make a copy/backup of all data. Refurb cannot be held liable for lost data and other indirect consequential damages that goods sold by Refurb may have created, unless it follows directly from Danish law.
Utilization and reporting the right of complaint
You must report a complaint within a "reasonable time" after you have discovered any errors. If you report a complaint within two months after the error is discovered, the report of complaint will always be timely.
To achieve the fastest processing time, we recommend that you use our online RMA form to achieve the fastest possible service.
The item that you are making a complaint about must be submitted in complete and sound packaging (exactly the same packaging or equivalent to the one in which you received the item). The item must also be submitted with an RMA number on the outside of the box or at least have a complete error description, invoice and contact information attached.
Refurb once again encourages the customer to take a full backup or copy of all data on the item before it is submitted, as the item will be reset. Refurb cannot be held liable for lost data and other indirect consequential damages that goods sold by Refurb may have created, unless it follows directly from Danish law.
Goods that are not covered by the right of complaint and/or received without proper packaging will be repackaged, and an amount corresponding to Refurb's costs for necessary and proper packaging will be charged. In the event that the item during shipping has been damaged due to improper packaging, Refurb will in principle only rectify the specific error if the error is not affected by the possible shipping damage.
Refurb bears all shipping costs if the complaint is justified. However, you must contact Refurb before dispatch - and we can then assist with a return label where the shipping is paid.
When submitting accessories, media and the like, please inform us through the RMA form. If equipment is included in the RMA form and is not in the shipment, Refurb will contact you.
We do not receive packages without direct delivery or packages that are paid on delivery.
14 days right of return
As a customer, you always have a 14-day full right of return under the danish Consumer Contracts Act. Refurb will reimburse your shipping costs, provided you have contacted us before the item is returned and been sent a return label.
The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you received your item. If you have ordered several different items in one order, but they are delivered individually, the deadline runs from the day you receive the last item.
The deadline means that you have 14 days from receipt to let us know that you will cancel your purchase. You can send an email to email@example.com or use the standard cancellation form (RMA), which you will find at the bottom of the terms and conditions.
You cannot cancel the purchase by refusing to receive the item without notifying us at the same time.
The following conditions must be met when returning the item:
- In the event of cancellation, the item must comply with the condition of the item - when you send the return described standard - Refurb reserves the right to set off any impairment in proportion to the returned purchase price.
- Along with the returned goods, the RMA number or as a minimum an invoice must be attached with a complete error description.
You are responsible for packing the item properly. If we find that the item has suffered damage as a result of incorrect packaging, you are responsible for any impairment losses. If the error occurred during shipping, it is a matter between you as a customer and the shipping company. We only refuse receipt of the package if it has visible signs indicating that the carrier has caused the damage.
Cancellation of a part of the purchase
If you have purchased several items from us, you have the option of sending one or more items back, even if they were purchased in one order.
Please note that you will not be reimbursed for shipping costs if you regret part of your purchase.
Once you have notified us that you want to cancel your purchase, you have 14 days to send the item back to us.
We will bear the cost if you contact us and use our return label. However, you must bear the costs yourself if you use another way of returning. You are responsible if an injury occurs during transport.
Item condition – when you send it back
You are only liable for any deterioration in the value of the product, that is due to handling other than what is necessary to determine the product's nature, properties and the way it works. In other words, you can try the item in the same way as if you tried it in a physical store, but you must not take it into actual use.
If the item has been tried in addition to what is described above, we consider it to be used, which means that upon cancellation of the purchase, you will only receive part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the item's commercial value.
We recommend that you send the item back in the original packaging. If the original packaging is missing, it may lead to a decrease in the value of the item.
Refund of the purchase amount
If you cancel your purchase, you will get your money back. If the item is impaired, we will deduct the amount you are liable for. We will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (but not extra delivery costs in cases where you have chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest form of standard delivery that we offer), no later than 14 days from the day we received your message that you want to cancel the purchase. We will refund the money with the same means of payment that you used for the purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise.
We can withhold payment until we have received the item, unless you send us proof of having returned it.
You can also cancel the purchase by notifying us and handing it in in person at the above address against prior agreement with Refurb.
We do not receive packages without delivery or packages sent by paid on delivery.
Right of return in business purchases
There is as a standart no right of withdrawal in business purchases. Read further conditions for business purchases here.
Compatibility with third party products or software
Refurb cannot be held responsible for compatibility issues due to changes in a configuration of Refurb's composite components. Furthermore, Refurb cannot be held responsible for any problems with printer drivers, usb devices or the like provided by third parties.
Invoicing error or shipping informations error
If the customer provides incorrect information in connection with the purchase, Refurb will usually charge DKK 100 for re-invoicing.
Refurb offers a variety of choices when it comes to payment. Here are the preferred payment options:
Payment cards - including Dankort, MasterCard, Visa etc.
Account transfer - if you pay by account transfer, you are not protected by the objection mechanism
Paypal - if you pay via PayPal, you are not protected by the objection mechanism. Read more about the terms and conditions on PayPal's website
Cash - store sales only
Electronic invoice - only applies to companies with EAN number
When purchasing with ViaBill, you will first receive your goods. You must then pay your monthly payments on the 20th of each month. If you do not pay on time, a fee of DKK 39 will be charged. If you regret your purchase, the agreement on payment with ViaBill will terminate. ViaBill finances purchases for up to DKK 2,000. Amounts over DKK 2,000 are financed in collaboration with SparXpress. Read more here: www.viabill.com/kredit
Please note that Refurb only processes the order with prior authorization or receipt of payment, unless you as a company have set up an account with credit. The amount will only be deducted from your card when the item is shipped.

Right of appeal
If you as a consumer want to complain about your purchase, you must contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If we do not succeed in finding a solution, and if you reside in an EU country other than Denmark, you can complain to the EU Commission's online complaints portal here.

Insurance conditions for IT epuipment
If you purchase a total insurance for your IT equipment (ie computers and tablets), certain conditions apply.
